Augusta, Waterville get no prez respect

So now Hillary Clinton's going to Lewiston, too. That's the press release we just received. She will be in Orono Saturday morning and Lewiston Saturday afternoon.

Barack Obama will be in Bangor Saturday too. And former President Bill Clinton was in Portland Thursday.

What about us? The state capital is in Augusta and only Ron Paul has come here. Waterville's not chopped liver either.

I know the likely reasons: The Portland and Bangor markets are bigger than Augusta-Waterville. They have TV stations there (yes, WABI has a bureau in Waterville). And they have bigger airports.

Still, it would be nice if Augusta or Waterville were part of the campaign scene, wouldn't it?

The only candidate to visit your town is the only one who truly cares about the people of this country. Please support Ron Paul.

the lesser of evils, is still an evil.

Augusta isn't part of their campaign scene . . . or ANY "scene".
The city council is desperately trying to create a "scene" in Augusta by such things as asking corporations to name the Civic Center after themselves. Augusta isn't on anyone's map.

I'm not a Ron Paul fan. I really think he would be a disaster for this country. If that's the best some of you can think of in Augusta, no wonder why both of them didn't visit here.

Since we all know a candidate is going to visit areas in the state that have the greatest population density (or do we all know this?), Portland and Bangor are the logical places. So what that they don't visit boring Augusta and Waterville.

Wondering why your paper doesnt tackle the tough issues; like the fact they are glorifying this stimuless packet (yes I spelled stimuless like this on purpose) in the fine print anyone who either owes back taxes, child support, or student loans will not be getting any money from the packet!! Which by my predictions are about 90% of the population owes one or the other, and lets not forget the fact that there was an article published on the record number of audits the IRS completed in 2007??? huh??? thats kinda funny isn't it??tackle the tough stuff
