Our new-look newspapers
By now, you may have seen or heard about the visual and design changes in the Morning Sentinel and Kennebec Journal. You can read my column about this project here.
If you have feedback for me, please send me an e-mail or post a comment on this blog. We will track reader reaction. Thank you.
Thanks for the compliment, Jerry.
We are not dropping government listings from the newspaper or Web sites. Rather, we will run all government listings on the first Monday of the month, in the B section of the newspapers and online as well.
Again, they will run in print and online. We're just moving them from B2 and running them once a month. I hope this helps.

The recent changes have made the print editions more visually appealing. You've also done a better job of introducing white space to set off certain stories appearing in the various sections.
Let me offer a suggestion about your electronic edition. The paper copy of the KJ will eliminate the daily government listings. We in local government will get a monthly listing of office openings/closings and the non-exciting meetings that make up life in a small town. How about continuing those listings, but in the electronic edition? It seems as if the technology lends itself better to showing these in this way rather than having to fight space and format constraints on the standard newpaper page.
