Make plans to attend the Ski-swap-Sale and Craft Fair at Vassalboro Community School on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

People who have things they'd like to sell should bring them in on Friday between 4 and 5:30 p.m. or on Saturday at 7 a.m. Victor Esposito or Curtis Wood will be processing the merchandise. The sale is to benefit the VSC Ski Club winter activities.

Christmas coming early to Sunday River

The 9th Annual Santa Sunday is scheduled at Sunday River on Sunday, December 7th. This fun event raises money for the Bethel Rotary's Christmas for Children's campaign.

Registration is now open for all 'Santas' wearing the following items: One red Santa hat, including a white pompom, one red Santa jacket, one pair of red Santa pants, a Santa beard and a $10 (or more) cash donation for the Bethel Rotary Club.

Interested participants to appear as Santa are recommended to sign up early online at www.sundayriver.com. Santa Sunday is open to the first 250 participants. For additional information, log on to: Sunday River's Santa site.

Participants receive a free lift ticket after posing for the annual photo shoot and video.

Check-in from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Welcome Center at South Ridge Lodge. Santas who participate in the 11 a.m. photo will receive two additional lift tickets valid through December 19, 2008.
