WinterKids a passport to a healthy future
WinterKids helps children develop healthy lifelong habits through fun and outdoor winter activity.
"At WinterKids, I am enthusiastic about creating a world where all of our children can enjoy a snowy day with healthy physical activity in the beautiful outdoors," said Fran Mullin, Executive Director in a prepared statement. "I hope you will join the fun!"

WinterKids Passport
This Passport offers all Maine fifth, sixth, and seventh graders the opportunity to learn and enjoy winter sports with free and discounted tickets, lessons, and rentals at outdoor recreation areas across the state, including downhill ski areas, cross country ski centers, ice skating arenas and snow tubing and sledding parks.
WinterKids FunPass
The new FunPass offers all Maine children from preschool through the fourth grades the chance to try cross country skiing and snowshoeing on groomed trails at over 20 locations for free! This is a fantastic way for WinterKids Passport and FunPass for families to be active, stay healthy and have a great time together.
WinterKids guide for schools
The cross-curricular guide for preschool through high school takes the classroom outside for a dynamic, hands-on educational experience. The WinterKids guide to outdoor active learning makes it easy for teachers to meet state standards.
There are active academics workshops to train teachers how to incorporate outdoor physical activity into their lessons that will challenge students' minds and bodies.
WinterKids Class Athlete tour sends winter sports champions throughout Maine to show kids how a personal commitment to fitness can lead to success.
This is a great program for communities to welcome winter. It shows kids and their families how much fun winter can be.
Volunteers are always needed. From working in schools to helping with special events, volunteers have fun and make a difference.
