All kinds of fun things to do in snow country!

A fairly decent storm raced through the mountain areas this week, with more predicted this weekend. The snow is waiting. What are you waiting for?

Sugarloaf and Sunday River giving free tickets!
Bring a beginner friend to ski or ride at Sugarloaf or Sunday River and they will get a free lift ticket. Not only that, but you'll get a free Perfect Turn Group Clinic to polish your own skills.

You have to be 15 years and over and purchase a full price "First Experience" clinic for $80, and you have to reserve three days in advance. For more information, call 1-800 824-2SKI (Sunday River) or 1-800 THE LOAF (Sugarloaf)

Saddleback Mountain wants to keep ME warm
This Friday, and every Friday in January, $5.00 of each full price lift ticket purchased will be donated to Keep ME Warm, which provides fuel assistance for residents of Franklin Country.

On January 11, the USSA J3/J4 Qualifier Slalom races are scheduled at Saddleback.
UMF Day gets you a $25 ticket with your UMF ID.

Elvis is on the mountain at Shawnee Peak
It's the third annual Elvis on the mountain event Saturday, January 10 at 7 p.m.

Celebrate Elvis Presley's 74th Birthday weekend. MichaEL VISelli, one of Boston's top Elvis impersonators will be at Shawnee Peak's Blizzard's Pub for an aprés ski party!

The fun begins at 3 p.m. Elvis fans are invited to dress up as The King and come out to ski. Skiers can get their picture taken with the "King." At 4:30 p.m., the show gets going with Michael Viselli getting the crowd in Blizzard's Pub all pumped up with Elvis adrenaline. There will be Elvis look-alike contests and he will perform his widely-known Elvis Impersonator act. Admission is free to the act.

Give a Pint, get a Free Lift Ticket and a Pound!
Sunday at Shawnee Peak the American Red Cross will be seeking blood donors, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Give a pint of blood and you'll receive a free mid-week lift ticket (valid Monday through Friday, non-holidays, through the end of the 2009 ski season. Plus, you'll get a voucher for a free pound of Dunkin Donuts coffee.

Ski and ride safely. Use your head and don't forget to wear a helmet!
