Flood of '87 | Readers remember
Kennebec Journal & Morning Sentinel

Rescuing picnic tables I owned the Log Cabin Restaurant across the street from Two Rivers Campground in Skowhegan on Route 2. When the Kennebec River overflowed its banks, the campground got totally flooded. The owner, David Beauregard, and I spent four hours rescuing picnic tables from the campground. We also saved one camper that was being stored there.
