Blogging and tackling . . . That’s what’s it’s all about as any football coach will tell you. With that in mind, we kick off our first-ever high school sports blog. It should be fun and informative.

Each of our staff sports writers — Gary Hawkins and Scott Martin from the Kennebec Journal, and Matt DiFilippo and Travis Lazarczyk of the Morning Sentinel — will contribute to this blog two or three times per week. Whether it’s football, field hockey, cross country, soccer, golf or volleyball you follow, this is the place to come for the latest news and insight on the various games, teams, athletes, coaches and fans.
