Pullen still starring as cross country runner

Maranacook grad Abby Pullen left softball behind a few years ago, but she's still a star in cross country running at Hofstra University.

Pullen, sophomore at Hofstra, has competed in two races this season. In the first, she finished second in the race as the Pride took second place in an eight-team meet. It was the fourth time Pullen had an individual second-place finish in her career.

In Hofstra's second meet this season, Pullen again led all Pride runners, taking 15th place overall as Hofstra took fifth place among seven teams at the Delaware Invitational.

Pullen's next meet is Friday, at the Paul Short Run at Lehigh University. After that, it's the Disney Cross Country Classic at Orlando, Fla. on Oct. 6.
