Cony gets healthy for the stretch

Cony High School welcomes back two key players for its Week 5 matchup with Edward Little. Tailback/linebacker Joey Record and tight end Eric Morang both return after missing two weeks with shoulder injuries.

Back at full strength the Rams are in position to snap their 27-game losing streak.
"We know that if we elminate turnovers and some key penalties, the outcome could be different," Cony coach Robby Vachon said.
The Rams opened the season with the toughest posssiible schedule. The four teams they have faced, Mt. Ararat, Lawrence, Skowhegan and Lewiston are a combined 15-1. They also faced Bangor (3-1) in the presaeason.
"I think it has prepared us well," Vachon said. "When you play those type of football teams, you can only get better."
The Rams end the season with a much easier schedule. After facing Edward Little (0-4) they play Brewer (0-4), Brunswick (1-3) and Oxford Hills (3-1).
