Lauren Blake hit .464 this spring for the Clark University softball team. Now that fall is here, the Messalonskee High School grad is continuing to shine on the field hockey field.

In 10 games this season, Blake has recorded 14 goals and four assists, including two goals in a 5-0 shutout win over Anna Maria on Thursday.

Blake, a sophomore who was described as a "fleet-footed forward" in a Clark press release, has earned a spot in the national rankings with her play this season.

In the latest NCAA statistics (through games of Sept. 30), Blake is fourth in the nation in Division III in both points per game (3.38) and goals per game (1.5).
