FIELD HOCKEY: End-of-season top 10

As always, this is the work of me (Matt, the guy in that photo).

Last week's ranking in parentheses:

1. Sanford (1)
2. Skowhegan (3)
3. Gardiner (2)
4. Scarborough (6)
5. Gorham (4)
6. Cony (5)
7. Mt. Blue (7)
8. Maranacook (8)
9. Biddeford (9)
10. Deering (unranked)

Just missing the top 10 (in alphabetical order): Camden Hills, Leavitt, Mattanawcook, Mt. View, Telstar, Waterville, Wells and Winslow.

If Skowhegan and Gardiner aren't the two top teams in the state, they gave a pretty good impression of that in Skowhegan's 1-0 win on Saturday. Plus, the East has won the last six Class A state title games, and 12 of the last 16. But in this case, Sanford is the only undefeated team in Class A, and that's why they hold on to the top spot.
