FOOTBALL: State championship times set

Lawrence fans plan to get up early. Gardiner fans plan to stay out a little bit late.

This morning, the Maine Principals' Association announced the times for the three state championship football games, all of which will take place at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland.
For the second straight year, Lawrence will play in the early game. The defending state champions will play Bonny Eagle in the Class A title game at 11:06 p.m. The Class C game between Boothbay and Foxcroft will follow at 2:30 p.m.
The night ends with Gardiner taking on Mountain Valley for the Class B state championship at 6 p.m.
Game times are determined by distance of travel. Foxcroft has the longest distance to travel and therefore plays the middle game.
