High School Sports
Scott Martin has covered high school sports at the Kennebec Journal and Morning Sentinel for the eight years. A graduate of Lake Region High School and the University of Maine in Orono, Martin has worked for these newspapers for nearly 10 years. Martin also coaches middle school baseball and basketball in his spare time.

FOOTBALL: Gardiner stats at the half.

Gardiner Area High School leads the Class B state championship game, 14-0 at the half. Here are stats for the Tigers, called in by staff writer Bill Stewart.
Gardiner has rushed 28 times for 150 yards.
Brad Carleton leads the way with 11 carries for 85 yards, while Bass Chadwick has rushed nine times for 30 yards. Kyle Stilphen has rushed five times for 23 yards and completed one pass for 49 yards to Forrest Chadwick.
