The teams and schedule have been set for the annual Capital City Hoop Classic at the Augusta Civic Center. Once again, the tournament showcases perennially strong teams and a number of intriguing matchups.

The tournament will be held Dec. 26, 27 and 29. The Classic is usually held on three consecutive days, but that created some conflicts in the past while Cony tried to squeeze in a regular season game. Both Cony teams will play Nokomis on Dec. 28.

The girls side features Cony and Waterville, the defending state champions in Class A and B respectively. They will meet at noon on Saturday, Dec. 29.

Other girls teams in the tournament are Deering, Lawrence, Madison and Messalonskee. The girls championship game will be at 7 p.m., Dec. 29.

The six boys teams in the tournament are Brunswick, Cony, Maranacook, Messalonskee, Richmond and Winthrop. The boys championship game will be at 8:30 p.m., Dec. 29.
