This just in: Ben Grant (Winslow) and Matt DelGiudice (Messalonskee) can play a little hockey.

These two forwards put on a show Saturday night at Sukee Arena, much to the delight of the two boisterous student sections. By the way, kudos to the students who livened up the arena and kept the chants clean. That was nice to see. DelGiudice and Grant each scored two goals in a wild 4-3 Eagles victory Saturday.

Now that DelGiudice has opened the season with a bang, the area's other two Class A standouts - Waterville's Zach Jochem and John Massey - will make their 2007/08 debut Tuesday against Class A newcomer Brewer. The game, which starts at 5 p.m., is at Colby College.
