High School Sports
Scott Martin has covered high school sports at the Kennebec Journal and Morning Sentinel for the eight years. A graduate of Lake Region High School and the University of Maine in Orono, Martin has worked for these newspapers for nearly 10 years. Martin also coaches middle school baseball and basketball in his spare time.

HOCKEY: Blaisdell catches on with Winslow

Former Lawrence High School head coach Josh Blaisdell has joined the coaching staff at Winslow High School, serving as an assistant to Corey Lessard.

Blaisdell resigned last spring after four years at Lawrence, where he compiled a 29-52-0 record. The Bulldogs went 1-18-0 his first season in Lawrence, building up to a 14-7-0 record and a berth in the Eastern Maine Class A quarterfinals. Last winter, Lawrence finished 9-12-0, losing to Brunswick in the Eastern A quarters.
