GIRLS BASKETBALL: Waterville vs. Old Town

Waterville wins easily, 63-37. Morgan Frame leads the way with 24 points, 12 rebounds and three blocked shots. Ten different players end up scoring for Waterville, which moves on to play Erskine Wednesday night.

The Eastern B girls quarterfinal between Waterville and Old Town is about to start from the Bangor Auditorium. Waterville has few fans here, especially considering the Purple Panthers are undefeated.

At the end of the first quarter, Waterville leads 18-8. The Panthers were ahead 8-0 before Old Town took a shot. The Coyotes have nine turnovers. Morgan Frame leads Waterville with eight points.

Waterville leads 32-15 at the half. The Purple Panthers are dominating. Old Town can't stop Morgan Frame (11 points, 5 rebounds) and can't solve Waterville's defense. Old Town is 4 for 21 from the floor and has committed 15 turnovers. Waterville is 12 for 25 from the floor and has committed six turnovers.

Neither team is doing particularly well from the line. Old Town is 6 for 11 and Waterville is 4 of 10. Each team has 18 rebounds.

Jen Nale also has 10 points for Waterville. Cally Randall leads the Coyotes with five points.

Waterville is ahead 48-19 after three quarters. Old Town has made five field goals in 34 attempts.
