High School Sports
Scott Martin has covered high school sports at the Kennebec Journal and Morning Sentinel for the eight years. A graduate of Lake Region High School and the University of Maine in Orono, Martin has worked for these newspapers for nearly 10 years. Martin also coaches middle school baseball and basketball in his spare time.

TENNIS: Mt. Blue boys join Class A

The Mt. Blue boys will play in Eastern Maine Class A after just one year as a club team.

The Cougars had about 30 athletes sign up to play tennis this spring. They return the nucleus of a team that played an exhibition schedule last spring, including sophomores Matthew St. John, Harris Roberts and Nicholas Wilkins junior Sam Cohen, and seniors captains Keith Barton and Eric Formella.

"We came on last year and started the team from scratch," Mt. Blue coach Stan Kuklinski said.
