Two pitchers going to Thomas

Patrice Cianchette of Nokomis and Jordan Kennedy of Maine Central Institute are two of the top pitchers in their respective leagues. Nokomis plays in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A, while MCI plays in the KVAC B.

Next season, both Cianchette and Kennedy will be playing at Thomas College in Waterville.

Cianchette led Nokomis to an 11-6 record last season, and the Warriors are again expected to be one of the top teams in Eastern A. Kennedy was 5-3 last season with a 2.01 ERA and 124 strikeouts in 70 innings for MCI.

Cianchette said she and Kennedy have known each other for several years from playing summer softball together.
