LACROSSE: Brothers face off

Brothers Kolby and Koby Peckham, former Gardiner Area High School lacrosse players, faced off in a college lacrosse game Tuesday.

Kolby Peckham, the 2006 Kennebec Journal Boy Lacrosse Player of the Year, helped Thomas College to a 10-7 win over St. Joseph's College and his brother Kody.
Kolby scored three goals for Thomas, while Kody had a goal and an assist for St. Joseph's.
The Peckhams weren't the only players with local ties in Tuesday's game. Gardiner graduate Tookie Amosun scored three goals for St. Joseph's College, while Messalonskee graduate Luke Collier had two goals for Thomas.
Cony graduates Chris Vashon and Eric Bineau each added a goal for Thomas, while fellow Cony grad Charlie Buckingham had four ground balls.
