FIELD HOCKEY: Chadbourne, Tigers put up big numbers

Hailey Chadbourne is already considered one of the best field hockey players in the state. As a junior, she set the Gardiner field hockey record for points in a career and announced she would play at Division I Iowa.

In two games last week, Chadbourne has shown why people think so highly of her as a player.

Chadbourne scored six goals last week, helping Gardiner to a 2-0-0 record. Chadbourne had three goals and an assist in in the Tigers 11-0 win over Lewiston on Wednesday and three more goals in a 9-0 win over Hampden Academy on Friday.

In the win over Lewiston, Chadbourne broke the school-record for career assists with her 35, passing Lynsey Seymour. She added to her record total with three more assist in the win over Hampden Academy. In that game, she had three more goals as well.
