Cony's Fecteau shines in first college start

The shots were 21 to one and the penalty corners were 14-0 against her team. That's what Cony grad Natalie Fecteau faced in her first collegiate start.

Fecteau didn't do badly at all, making 12 saves as her Manhattanville team lost to Stevens, 1-0.

Stevens is 6-0 this season and defeated Juniata, which was ranked 14th in the nation in Division III in preseason. The Ducks came in averaging 4.4 goals per game, but Fecteau did what she could to keep Manhattanville close. In the second half, Fecteau dropped down to stuff a penalty stroke by Kara Borzillo, Stevens' leading scorer.

Fecteau has now played 105 minutes in the cage, and has a 2.00 goals against average and an .850 save percentage.
