what about the top JV teams?
hall-dale is pretty good this year, they are undefeated.
class C, but beat a undefeated class A school 3-1. They are very talented.

Amazing.... someone down there knows that soccer exists north of Brunswick.

Boys list is not credible at all when Richmond, Marshwood and Maranacook are ahead of Waterville and Messalonskee. Either Waterville or Mess.,not to mention many other teams (Mt. Blue, Hampden, Brewer,Cheverus, Portland, Westbrook, Gorham, P.I. Freeport and Elsworth) would kill those three teams.

Girls list looks good... maybe add Winslow?

Marshwood is not mentioned and i bet that richmond could hang tough with a hampden type of team. remember they tied st doms who is the defending class c state champion. I believe that el is way to high

Messalonskee is 6-1-2 in class a - they just tied Bangor - this list is not very accurate- but then again the KJ and MS just love showing love for Messalonskee!!!!

Mt.A has recently beat both EL and Brunswick

Gary, Right now in the class A heals, Greely is ranked #2. They have received New England ranking (along with Falmouth) by the NSCAA numberous times this fall. Ranking them at #8 shows that you have not done your homework.

I agree with Blueball. Considering Falmouth and Greely are the only two teams on this list that were recently NSCAA rated, and both are coming off of 2007 State Championships, I'd say Gary Hawkins is either clueless, or just hasn't put enough time into researching.

In looking at the girls top ten I wonder how many, if any, of the teams that Gary has in the top 10 he has actually seen. 7 of the 10 teams are outside of the KJ/Sentinel coverage area. So that leaves only Waterville, Brunswick, and Mt. Abram that would be in the KJ coverage area. I'm guessing that he might have seen Waterville play, but I'd be surprised if he has seen Brunswick or Mt. Abram.

I think a more meaningful list would be one of the top 10 in the KJ/Sentinel coverage area as he might have seen some of those teams actually play.

My guess is that the girls list is basically made by looking at heal points and figuring (most likely correctly) that the stronger teams overall are in Western A and B.
