Cony's little big man

You could almost see Edward Little's Corey Therriault salivating when Cony's Ray Cotnoir entered the game Friday night and began to guard him.

Therriault, who is listed at 6-foot-4, towered over the 5-4 Cotnoir. But the little guy worked hard enough to hold the Red Eddies leading scorer to two points during the two stints he guarded him. Therriault finished with a game-high 22 points and was the difference in EL's 63-57 win, but Cotnoir did his job.
He added a couple of steals and even grabbed a defensive rebound against the tallest team in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference.
"Ray's got the biggest heart on the team and he works so hard for me," Cony coach Tim Bonsant said. "I try to give him some minutes."
Cotnoir, who is a senior, has had a few games this season when he hasn't played at all. But as he showed Friday night, he's ready when his number is called.
