The Kennebec River overflowed its banks on April 30 and the riverside communities of Augusta, Hallowell and Gardiner felt its wrath once again.

River watch: Towns brace for flooding
The Kennebec River was expected to rise above the 12-foot flood stage in Augusta on on April 29 and continue to crest to 17 to 18 feet on Wednesday morning.

Winslow blaze leaves pair homeless
A fire at a mobile home left two roommates homeless this afternoon. Fire departments from five towns battled the blaze on the Old Eames Road in Winslow.
